We are a venture backed, high-growth educational technology startup looking for a UI Designer. This person will design user interfaces for a suite of Web, Desktop, tablet and mobile applications. The UI Designer will work closely with the development team to design high-performance consumer apps. The Designer must understand complex business requirements and deliver creative UI designs, prototypes, and specifications to optimize the user experience.Create InterfacesUI designer will create complex user interfaces for a variety of applications, such as web, mobile devices, desktop/laptop and tablets. Interface design would involve screen layouts, information design, typography, color usage, and integrating corporate branding. They will also be expected to maintain these interfaces.Usability TestingUsability testing is one of the most important functions of a UI designer. By conducting usability tests, UIdesigners can solve problems with interfaces and make them not only more user-friendly, but useful as well, by predicting how users will utilize each element of the design.Required Skills: Knowledge of W3C-compliant XHTML and CSS (hand-coding experience preferred)Knowledge of Web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, Flash, XML, FlexExperience with designing for consumer facing product software, SAAS (on-demand), or transactional consumer Web sites (e-commerce, etc.)Experience working in Subversion, CVS, or other version-control environmentsProficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and VisioRequired Background:B. S. or B.A in user interface design, human factors, cognitive science, graphic design or equivalent work experienceAt least two years of UI design experience using novel web 2.0 concepts. At least one year of UI design experience on mobile platforms: iPhone/Android

• Minimum 2 years design leadership and management experience.

• Have a strong design foundation including adept use of grids, typography, color harmony, etc.
• Can design for accessibility, Section 508-compliance.

Buddy Media is looking for a bright and self-motivated Director of
Engineering. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to manage
and mentor an experienced team of engineers in our New York office with
a goal of building on our already well established suite of social
platform utilities, scaling to meet new demands, and focusing on
stability through excellent standards and process control.
An ideal candidate will have 5+ years worth of experience leading teams
of engineers and working with company stakeholders to meet build
requirements. The candidate should have an expert knowledge of hands on
object oriented programming in a web environment.
The candidate should have intimate knowledge of release processes and be
capable of putting these processes into place. The candidate should
have experience leading frequent code reviews with relevant engineers to
ensure code is maintainable, enhanceable, and adheres to all code
standards.Responsibilities
-Collaborate with senior business managers on technology, process and
solutions to support strategic initiatives.
-Work within a high performance distributed architecture-Lead platform development in a LAMP (php) environment.-Act as release manager for all internal builds.-Manage multiple individual teams of developers and meet with each
team
leader on a weekly basis.-Establish release processes and code standards among individual
teams.-Meet all deadlines as established by senior business managers.
Necessary Skills-Expert knowledge of the full LAMP stack.-Expert OOP background with a primary language of any of the above
(PHP, Python, Ruby, Java)-Source Code Version Control (Git, SVN)-Expert knowledge of Design Patterns including MVC.-Expert knowledge of MVC web frameworks.-Expert knowledge of RDMBS.-Attention to detail, specifically from a code standard perspective.-Hands on experience with release process patterns such as Agile and

If you decide to join, you will work closely with the Test Manager and be responsible for coding, tools/test harness development, problem isolation and analysis, communication with developers including debugging and investigation of test case breaks, detailed test planning and design, code coverage and other tool-based code analysis, as well as generating and following through on bug reports and metrics. You must be passionate about writing reliable automation code and working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
As a SDET on the Assess and Plan team you will help us automate testing of RAPID client platform (RADT) and the Risk Assessment Programs(RAP) that depend on this platform. Your responsibilities will include working with our Redmondoffshore team of Developers, STE, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Premier Field Engineers (PFEs) and Program Managers to ensure quality on all customer facing tools that we use to deliver IP to end users, along with APIs that are used by our RAP solutions.
If you decide to join, you will work closely with the Test Manager and be responsible for coding, tools/test harness development, problem isolation and analysis, communication with developers including debugging and investigation of test case breaks, detailed test planning and design, code coverage and other tool-based code analysis, as well as generating and following through on bug reports and metrics. A big part of the job involves working closely with offshore test team.
Responsibilities include:
* Writing and reviewing test plans covering multiple components and scenarios
* Leading design and implementation of test automation
* Imparting and demonstrating best practices for services & application testing
* Improving existing test infrastructure and creating new infrastructure to simplify testing

The Creative Director will be responsible for designing and providing oversight for the creative strategy, usability and design of Viewpoints.com and the Viewpoints Network partner sites. · Advertising and promotion design, including banner units and emails
· Site design, incorporating UX best practices
· Typography, iconography and usability standardization across each site
· New product offering design and page design
· Client comps, which may include branding and design recommendations
· Maintaining a design pattern library and ensuring the design system is clearly documented
The Creative Director will also work closely with front-end developers to ensure browser compatibility and that clear, logical associations exist between page designs, design systems and CSS strategies.
Other Key Responsibilities:
· Manage, mentor, and develop the creative team including full-time and contract designers
· Manage operational needs such as resource allocation and ensure team meets agreed upon deadlines
· Work with multiple company stakeholders to deliver products that fulfill internal and customer needs
· Collaborate with product team to ensure alignment of design initiatives with business goals
· Pitch concepts and mocks to stakeholders and senior management
· Proactively drive improvements to visual site design and usability
· Manage and review team’s internal and client creative deliverables (i.e. messaging, branding, communications/marketing plans and strategy documents).
· Provide coaching and development opportunities to team
· Offer innovative ideas by tracking industry trends
Qualifications:
· 8-10+ years experience in the design field, with at least 5 years interactive design experience
· Strong concept development and graphic design ability
· Excellent understanding of composition, color, imagery, typography
· Experience with rapid interactive product design and development
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to pitch and defend design decisions that meet agreed upon business goals, while being receptive to feedback and demonstrating flexibility
· Demonstrated understanding of, and experience with, interaction design principles
· Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and inDesign
· Working knowledge of HTML, Flash and CSS
· Ideal candidate has experience working in an Agile development environment
· Experience with mobile design a plus
· Experience creating and working with site maps, user flows, wireframes, and other information design documents for web sites and online advertising
· Experience working with various online ad design specs and media requirements
· Solid experience creating Web graphics, animations, user interfaces, icons, style sheets, color schemes, templates and layouts, ensuring site-wide color and typeface standards and consistency.

THE POSITION:
Under the supervision of the Director of Major Gifts, the Development Officer (for Leadership Giving) is charged with broadening and deepening mid-level giving support ($1,000-$9,999) to UCS, including primary responsibility for the cultivation and solicitation of UCS's Henry Kendall Society (HKS). Working in conjunction with the Membership Director in his efforts to sustain and grow the HKS, the Development Officer has an active role in developing and implementing strategies to upgrade and renew current and prospective HKS members through direct mail, web, and personal cultivation and solicitation. The Development Officer develops, implements, and monitors the progress of individual prospects plans for his/her portfolio of donors, creating a pipeline to major gifts, and serves as a member of the leadership gifts team.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for a portfolio of leadership gift prospects and donors, including determining ask amounts, personalizing solicitations, responding to donor queries, and thanking and updating donors as appropriate. Identify pool of past and lapsed Henry Kendall Society donors as well as Henry Kendall Society prospects to call/meet with and solicit their leadership support. Responsible for meeting or exceeding annual dollar goals from this group of donors.
Work with the development team to identify and qualify potential major gift prospects, feed into major gifts team.
Oversees gift acknowledgment process for VIP donors, including writing and personalizing special acknowledgments; coordinates and follows all gift processing and accounting procedures in partnership with gift entry staff.
Coordinates input and management of prospect information and records with other development staff. Responsible for the input of information into Raiser's Edge to assure that pertinent donor and prospect information is added to the database in an accurate and timely manner.
Manage portfolio of family foundations, meeting all deadlines for proposals and reports.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Position requires development experience, including annual fund or leadership gifts cultivation, solicitation and/or stewardship experience, as well as knowledge of data processing and data management systems. Ability to manage complex projects and multiple tasks with thorough attention to detail and follow through; plan, organize and communicate effectively; work across department functions; and excellent oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with and interest in UCS issues strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Position requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and three to five years in development, preferably related to annual giving, major gifts or membership. Demonstrated success managing and prioritizing tasks associated with individual gifts work including project management, writing successful and compelling solicitation letters and/or proposals, experience using donor tracking systems, and cultivation activities. Must demonstrate superior interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships and multiple tasks with ease and be energetic, intellectually curious and a good listener. Ability to work in a team environment. Strong computer skills, including facility with Microsoft Office suite and constituent databases necessary (experience with Raiser's Edge a plus). Familiarity with on-line research, list segmentation, and/or data analysis. Ability to travel occasionally.

We are looking for highly motivated professionals with significant experience with the Canvas API, ProcessingJS, CSS3, HTML5 and advanced JavaScript. Candidates will demonstrate sophisticated knowledge about the evolution of browser-based solutions, strong art+technology capabilities with generative visual arts, strong understanding of both 2d and 3d graphics programming, that understands how to work with complex datasets and generative engines. Candidates should have a very eclectic set of interests that may include generative sound, modern societal problems, cognitive and social sciences, and systems modeling. The candidates will be expected to develop a familiarity with WebGL and Mozilla’s Audio Data API.

The UXP has a dual role of leading a team of UX professionals located in Shanghai as well as participating as a member of the UX organization of Augmentum’s client. The role will require simultaneous execution of several UX projects with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency along with the ability to formulate conclusions with little direction or information. He/She is a self-starter, works independently on projects and looks for opportunities to create UX initiatives to improve the overall site. Position Summary:
As a Front End Developer, you will be responsible for the development of scalable, secure, and functional front end components in HTML/CSS/JavaScript for an array of interactive projects in this fast paced environment. Overview:
Reuters.com seeks an experienced SEO/Search product manager.
Responsibilities:
Work with the development team to specify, build, test and launch new SEO products, features and experiments.
Communicate updates on KPI benchmarks and reporting results.
Analyze the competition, conduct keyword research, and write on page optimizations. I
dentify duplicate content, broken links, and other potential issues.
Manage XML sitemaps and relationships with search engines.
Work with designers, editors and product managers to educate and evangelize on SEO.
Develop and manage site standards for SEO best practices.
Manage all off page SEO including manual directory submissions, manual search engine submissions to Google, Yahoo, and Bing, and search submission verification, performance reports, social bookmarking, offsite blog/forum postings, link building and blog comments.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies.
Strong quantitative skills, ability to quickly analyze data and action on it.
Strong understanding of web technologies to ensure SEO best practices are implemented.

We have an immediate opening for a Product Manager at our growing online adventure travel firm. Our model is based on sourcing great outdoor adventures from outfitters around the world, and offering those trips through a variety of online interfaces and partnerships.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the inventory of trips that we choose to offer in the marketplace. This will involve researching the best trips offered around the world, contacting outfitters to express our unique value proposition, negotiating sales agreements with those outfitters, and working with our online product marketing team to establish the most efficient booking process (which may vary from outfitter to outfitter). Once we have selected trips from a new outfitter partner, you will be expected to become the company expert on the details of the trips. Additionally, you will work with our content team to make sure that we have all of the current media/information from our partner outfitters. Specifically, you will:
-have a high level of enthusiasm for adventure travel and one (or more) areas of practical domain knowledge (ie you climb, bike, surf, sail, etc)
-have a minimum of six years post-collegiate professional work experience, preferably some of which was in digital media
-be outgoing and able to communicate our company's value proposition to prospective partners- direct business development experience a plus
-possess better-than-average writing skills
-be proficient with the usual suite of computer applications (word/excel/etc)
-enjoy a startup/entrepreneurial work environment and all the pros and cons that come with it
This position is based in our New York offices (Tribeca) and compensation will be a combination of salary and bonus. Some travel may be required, as may some time in-store with outdoor retail partners.
